Thanks for posting to the forum. I am sure that you will be find some inspiration here in her story and in her paintings. Have you read Susan Vreeland's semi-biographical book about her? esther before ahasuerus Date: Jan 25, 2010 11:27:07 AM PST Author: nikki I am currently writing a paper on Artemisia's painting of Esther before Ahasuerus and I am having problems finding some information on that painting. I know that it is still difficult because it's one of her paintings that isn't titled or dated. I was wondering if anyone knows who may have commissioned this piece and if it was from her time in Rome or Naples? I would greatly appreciate any help for this topic. Discovered Artemisia through Facebook Date: Mar 3, 2010 8:40:25 PM PST Author: Velma I discovered Artemisia through a Facebook quiz entitled, "What kick-ass woman from history are you"? The result was Artemisia. Since I'd never heard of her, I decided to check her out online. Now I can say I am extremely proud to share, even though slightly, some of Artemisia's kick-ass view of life.
